Helping Today’s Christian Family Navigate the Media in Our Culture!

When it comes to family media decisions, today’s Christian family faces challenges that previous generations have never faced.  With the ease of accessibility to media and entertainment via cable, satellite and broadcast television and the ever-expanding internet, the Christian family needs to be diligent to protect our hearts and minds!

The passage of scripture that motivates Family Media Solutions is Romans 16:19 which says, “…I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.”  God wants his children to protect their hearts a minds from the evil influence of the enemy.  We are commanded to be “simple” or literally “unmixed or innocent” concerning sin and immorality.  And, God’s desire for his children is that they be “wise” or “well-informed or discerning” regarding what is good and right.

The enemy has been bombarding our families with this sin and immorality through the media that is produced by our culture and invited into our homes through the open portals of the television and internet.

Should we just raise the white flag of surrender and mindlessly consume the media?  Absolutely not!  Not when there are devices, services and information available to guard against that influence and produce discernment in today’s christian homes.

Family Media Solutions is your hub for the most up-to-date information to help you be discerning when it comes to your family media choices!
